The administrative chief of Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation (MBMC) Subhash Laakhe suspended ward officer Swapnil Sawant for his alleged failure in tackling the problem of illegal construction in and around the coastal areas of Uttan.
“Yes, the ward officer has been suspended with immediate effect for his failure in controlling illegal construction activities. No laxity will be tolerated in this context,” confirmed Laakhe.
