Mira Road division of the Thane (rural) police under the instructions of SP Rajesh Pradhan and SDPO Suhas Bawche, led by Senior PI Dhanaji Kshirsagar, the cops organised a massive Anti-Drug rally in Mira Road on Sunday.
Actively joined by local youth, students, parents, members of NGOs and political parties, the rally started from Lodha complex and passed through various localities in Mira Road. “The local populace not only actively participated but also extended full support to the rally which will go a long way in eradicating drug menace from the region,” Kshirsagar said.
Apart from intensifying vigilance and activating the informer network, the police department led by SP Rajesh Pradhan has also launched an awareness drive in the form of an elaborate advertisement campaign, seminars at educational institutions to highlight then disastrous effect of the new-generation drug menace and also rehabilitation projects for the addicts.
