Congress Corporator Farid Qureshi highlighted discrepancies in MBMC work to tackle the dengue.
“As against the earmarked manual strength of 249, only 80 to 120 civic personnel have actually been deployed in the twin-city for fumigation process aimed at neutralising the potential breeding sites for disease carrying mosquitoe which is in sharp contrast to the guidelines prescribed in the national and state vector-borne diseases control project. Not sensing the gravity of health threat, most of the workers have been shifted to other departments,” alleged Qureshi.
