The Mira Road police have arrested an imposter who, along with his two accomplices, tried to extort money from a local hotel owner by impersonating as a Food and Drugs (FDA) Inspector.
The accused identified as Rajesh Ramsujar Singh. He along with two others barged into Hotel FoodWay – a takeaway food joint situated in the N.G. Estate building of Mira Road (East) – under the pretext of conducting a food quality check and hygiene inspection.
A police team immediately swung into action and on the basis of mobile surveillance, tracked down Singh, a resident of Bhayandar (East).
