The Thane Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (MACT) foiled an attempt by a Mira Road family to get higher claim by producing fabricated Income Tax returns.
The member of the tribunal and district judge S G Girdhari observed, “The income proof by way of Income Tax return which was filed on record by the applicant was not acceptable as genuine. Hence, no reliance can be placed on it.”
