Mira Road is top destination for property buyer. There are lots upcoming projects are coming or will come in near future. But there is no space for RTO office here.
In 2011, the Thane Regional Transport Office (RTO) has requested the Mira
Bhayander Municipal Corporation ( MBMC) to allocate land to keep the
impounded vehicles. However, even as the civic body is scouting for
land, autos are charging passengers exorbitant fares. Passengers
complain that there are no checks by the authorities.
Even after 3 years there is no light on this issue. The helpline set
up by the Thane RTO for passengers to register their complaints has
been flooded with calls, but RTO officials have been unable to take
action against a single auto driver.
