Poor road thanks to Sewerage pipeline work in Mira Road

Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation had started the digging operation to enhanced the Sewerage facilities and improve Water Supply in Mira Bhayandar area. But this work is going on from last one year and road condition in Mira Road is now become pathetic.

“We have learnt that the company faces some salary related issues but it is their internal matter, however we have been informed that the issue has been resolved and barring some places the work has been initiated, Designed on a completely decentralised system across 10 zones, the scope of the Rs 491 crore project includes underground sewerage facilities in a radius of 24 sq km area entailing  laying a network of 107 km of sewer lines and commission of 10 pumping stations supported by an equal number of sewage treatment plants.” claimed a senior civic official who is handling the project.

The contract is awarded to Supreme Infrastructure India Ltd.

Update – 23rd Feb 2015: There is NO salary for SPML / Supreme Infra’s contract employees for 5 months and therefore MBMC Sewerage Project is completely stopped.
